چکیده

We exhibit a system for improving the quality of user-derived keying material on touchscreen devices. We allow a device to recover previously generated, highly entropic data suitable for use as (part of) a strong secret key from a user’s act of identifying to the device. Our system uses visual cryptography [22], using no additional electronics and no memorization on the part of the user. Instead, we require the use of a transparency overlaid on the touch-screen. Our scheme is similar to the identification scheme of [23] but tailored for constrained, touch-screen displays.

Enhanced auditory feedback for Korean touch screen keyboards

With the increasing popularity of touch screen mobile devices, improving the usability and the user experience while inputting text on these devices is becoming increasingly important. Most conventional touch screen keyboards on mobile devices rely heavily on visual feedback, while auditory feedback seldom includes any useful information about what is being inputted by the user. The auditory fe...

Towards Designing User Interfaces on Mobile Touch- screen Devices for People with Visual Impairment

Although touch screens have great input flexibility, they are largely inaccessible to people with visual impairment. One of the issues with touch screens is the lack of clear tactile feedback, which is critical for visually-impaired people. We developed SemFeel, a tactile feedback technology that can express some semantic information by using multiple vibration motors in concert. We believe tha...
